What inspired you to join the Macomb County NAACP? "African Americans are under attack in this country. Policies need to be changed, people in power need to be held accountable, and our communities need to be restored. I take pride in not only continuing a family legacy by being an active member, but I know that there is power in numbers and there is work to be done."

What inspired you to join the Macomb County NAACP? "With the nation-wide effort by extremists to get rid of books and curriculum that are diverse and historically robust, I have made it my mission to stand up and fight to preserve diversity and equity for our children. I know that NAACP feels strongly about this as well, so I wanted to team up and work together, to become part of the NAACP."
