Did you know that the Village of Romeo in Macomb County had an important role in the abolition of slavery and the civil rights movement?

In 2021, our newly founded Northern Macomb County Branch NAACP created a self-guided tour for everyone interested in learning more about its rich history and legacy of advancing the rights of Black Americans. Check it out!
